Wild Boar - Feral wild boar in England

What is RSS?

RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format for people to read regularly updated websites (such as news sites, blogs etc)

Benefits of RSS

RSS enables regular users of the web to stay up to date with all of the websites they are interested in, without having to visit each one separately. It also means users do not have to sign up to individual newsletters for websites, that may easily get lost in their email inbox.

How do I read an RSS Feed?

You need to download an RSS Feed Reader or News Aggregator - these allow you to read RSS feeds from various websites. There are a variety of RSS Feed Readers available for Windows, Linux and Mac systems, as well as several web-based versions such as My Yahoo and Google Reader.

Once you have installed your Feed Reader you can add any RSS feeds to your list to be checked. Look for icons on websites with the acronyms RSS, XML, or RDF to let you know a feed is available.
